Why do you fail to lose weight?

The most successful approach to weight loss and weight-loss maintenance is to make permanent lifestyle changes that include a healthful eating plan and physical activity. 
The changes need to be reasonable enough that a person can maintain them indefinitely and not feel deprived or unhappy.  Looking for 10 pounds loss in a month type of diet plan is not normal and you can’t maintain it after all.


 A realistic weight loss goal for someone who is overweight or obese is to aim to lose 7 to 10% of starting weight over a six month to one year period and then to keep the weight off for at least six months before trying to love more. Also, weight loss is more easily maintained when the weight is lost slowly (about 1 to 2 pounds per week).
